Houlihan’s Derby Patio Party Saturday May 6th

It's time for a party, and we're not horsing around! Or are we? Oh wait, we totally are! The big race in Kentucky is this Saturday, May 6th, and you can catch all the action and even win some prizes during the Kentucky Derby Patio Party at Houlihan's Restaurant & Bar in Dubuque.

This event will take place from 5 to 7pm, with Tom Drake on location from 4 to 6pm previewing the event, offering up great prizes to win, and getting you all the Houlihan specials for the evening.

Sign up that evening and wear your best hat for a chance to win those awesome prizes. Remember the bigger the hat the better when it comes to the Kentucky Derby.

This is 149th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. Last year, at the 148th, the big winner was a huge surprise in "Rich Strike" who was an 80 to 1 favorite! Did you know Rich Strike wasn’t even in the Derby field until the Friday before when another horse, "Ethereal Road," was scratched. That made room for "Rich Strike" trained by Eric Reed and rode by Jockey Sonny Leon. And to top it all off, that was the pairs first Derby.

So who's the next long shot to make that "BIG" bid on... Well according to several publications the top three horses in the 2023 Kentucky Derby futures are; Forte (5-2), Tapit Trice (11-1), and Kingsbarns (11-1).
