First on the list is of course #4 Michigan at Iowa and it could go one of 2 ways depending on what offense shows up. Did you know that the Hawks are 4-1 in Kinnick against teams ranked in the top 5 since 2010? True story. Our defense definitely gives us a chance against the high ranked Wolverines. Most pundits are picking Michigan on this one and so are the betting lines; Michigan (-11) are the spread favorites with the over/under set at 42-points.

Second is the match-up that sees former Wisconsin Coach Bret Bielma return to Madison for the first time with the Fighting Illini. Pundits seem split on this match-up but the betting line says Badgers (-7) are the spread favorite with the over/under at 43.5-points. Interesting facts about this match up; Illinois has a 3-1-0 record against the spread this season. Wisconsin has covered the spread twice.

Third match-up is the other ranked member of the Big Ten #3 Ohio takes on the Rutgers. This is expected to be a walk in the park; Ohio has been given a computer generated 98.3% chance of winning, but games aren’t played on paper. However, oddsmakers agree, as Ohio State comes into the game as strong 41.5-point favorites, which sets the over/under mark at 59.5-points. This is as close as it gets to a “sure thing” folks.

There’s your breakdown of the “big” Big Ten match-ups to watch for this weekend.
