The Jackson County Fair is a reliable staple in eastern Iowa, bringing thousands out each and every year. This year, it's all going down July 22nd - 27th, with a litany of family friendly events, tremendous artists performing, games, and more!

We're doing something a little bit different for this contest. We're letting YOU decide what you like best about county fairs in general. This game is called "THIS OR THAT." Below, you'll be presented with two similar options you can encounter at a country fair. Mull over your choice, and then fill in your answer in the form at the base of this article. It's that easy!

For what it's worth too, I'll give you my pick for each of the options below, but let it be known, there is no right or wrong answer. This is entirely subjective, fun, and meant to give YOU a chance to win tickets to the Jackson County Fair!

QUESTION 1: Funnel Cake or Corn Dog?:

This one is personally though for me because every fair I go to, I have to get one of each. I'm going to give the edge to the funnel cake for this one, however, because I tend to eat corn dogs year round. I only eat a couple funnel cakes in a year, so it's more of a treat than anything.

QUESTION 2: Ferris Wheel vs. Tilt-a-Whirl:

My fear of heights compels me to pick Tilt-a-Whirl without much hesitation. Yet, I have so many memories of going on Tilt-a-Whirls with my mother and father, being sandwiched between the two of them, and experiencing a total adrenaline rush. As far as fair rides in general are concerned, I don't think a Tilt-a-Whirl can be beat.

QUESTION 3: Rock Show vs. Country Show:

I don't think there's anything better than a county fair complemented by some great country music. Speaking of which, this year at the Jackson County Fair, Sawyer Brown, Confederate Railroad, Gretchen Wilson, and Montgomery Gentry will all be taking the stage this year. QUESTION 4: Lemonade vs. Cotton Candy:

Lemonade simply tastes better when it's (1) freshly squeezed and (2) served in a plastic cup at a county fair.
