Thomas Rhett's new album is a nostalgia-filled project, and its second single certainly supports that statement. Readers can press play above to hear "Remember You Young."

Written by Rhett with Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley, "Remember You Young" looks back at Rhett's loved ones -- his childhood friends and his wife in the first verse, his daughters in the second -- in their younger years. "'Cause no matter how much time goes by / And no matter how much you grow up / For worse or for better, from now 'til forever / I'll always remember you young," he sings in the chorus.

"Yeah, I hope when we get to Heaven / He looks at us all like we're kids," Rhett continues in a third verse. "Shameless and painless and perfect and ageless / Forgives all the wrong we did."

"We wrote this song about the people in life that we love, and always remembering them in their youth no matter how much time passes and we all change. There’s something sentimental about remembering your very best friends who have real jobs and families now tearing it up in college, or picturing me and my wife with no cares at the Tin Roof back in Knoxville," Rhett reflects in a press release. "I love that the last verse is a bit of twist with it all coming full circle. It actually makes me emotional … it's easily one of my favorite tracks on the album."

"Remember You Young" is one of 16 songs on Center Point Road, Rhett's fourth studio album. The project, which dropped on May 31, is named for a street in Rhett's hometown.

"For me, Center Point Road really symbolizes what it was like to grow up in Hendersonville: first dates, first football games, first heartbreak, first kisses, success and failures," Rhett says in a press release. "I really feel like that road shaped who I am today, and it felt fitting because the record, for the most part, is pretty nostalgic."

Rhett's first single from Center Point Road"Look What God Gave Her," recently hit No. 1 on the country charts. It's the 13th chart-topping song of his career.
