Tax Free Weekend is Upon Us

Hard to believe that the school will be back in secession in less than a month.  With that; the annual Iowa Tax Free Weekend is occurring this coming weekend (August 5th and 6th).

When Does the Tax Free Weekend start?
-August 5th at 12:01 a.m. Friday through August 6th at midnight.

What is included in tax-free weekend?
-Clothing items priced less than $100 each. (If an item is more than $100, sales tax will be charged on the entire amount.)
-Iowa defines clothing as: “Any article of wearing apparel and typical footwear intended to be worn on or about the human body.”

-Yes

-The Iowa’s tax-free holiday includes clothing only.  It does not include computers and school supplies.
