It may be the cheesiest article I have ever written, yet, I hope it inspires you to attend Dubuque's Mac and Cheese Fest.

This event is a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the University of Iowa Hospitals NICU, Stead Family Children's Hospital, and Rauen Family Foundation.

Contributions from generous individuals and organizations bring cheer and comfort to the young patients and their families at Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. For example, your donation from fundraisers like the Mac and Cheese Fest allows them to buy items appropriate for all of their patients, regardless of age.

Since 2017, the Mac and Cheese Fest has raised over $100k despite a two-year pandemic hiatus.

But the Mac is Back in 2022!

Area chefs and cooks will compete for the Golden Noodle Award, recognizing their cheesy pasta culinary creations as the absolute best. It's the ultimate crowning achievement for any top chef.

Remember that this mac and cheese isn't coming from a box with an orange powdery cheeselike substance. Instead, this is a creative culinary extravaganza with ingredients like lobster, steak, gourmet cheese, and homemade pasta.

20 Mac and Cheese entrées combined with 50 draughts from the area's best breweries will be an experience and fundraiser like none other.

Bring your appetite because the entree fee includes All-You-Can-Taste mac and cheese with beverage samples. In addition, you get a commemorative pint glass and other swag.

The VIP upgrade includes everything in General Admission and 1-hour early access, a festival koozie, and a t-shirt.
