Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department Identity Motorcycle Driver Killed on Sunday Morning
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Department has now identified the motorcycle driver killed just after 5am Sunday near Galena. The drivers name is Jacob R. Thomas of Iowa Falls, Iowa. The accident happened about 1/4 mile from Oldenburg Lane Galena, Illinois. The Sheriff's Department says Thomas' motorcycle was westbound on Highway 20 when it veered off the highway and struck a tree. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene, The accident remains under investigation.
