I used to love taking a ride aboard the Polar Express when I was a kid. When that train would roll into my hometown and take me and several other wide-eyed kids to Chicago for a day, it was an inspiring scene that complemented Christmastime (and winter break, let's be honest) perfectly.

Kids in the Tri-States will have something to look forward to on December 6th, 2022, as the Canadian Pacific Railway's Holiday Train will be visiting three nearby communities during its first cross-continent tour in three years!

Per the Telegraph Herald, the Holiday Train is essentially a concert on a railway, equipped with bright lights and a desire to do good for the communities in which it arrives. The Canadian Pacific Railway's special locomotive holds concerts and raises money, food, and awareness for food banks within the area!

On December 6th, the Holiday Train will arrive in Bellevue, IA at about 6:45 pm, and set up for an event in the Horizon Lanes parking lot (on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Elizabeth Street) from 7-7:30pm. From there, the train will travel to Dubuque, where it will arrive around 8:30pm for an event from 8:45-9:15pm! This event will take place at the Hawthorne Street railroad crossing on the corner of Hawthorne Street and Rhomberg Avenue.

The following day, December 7th, the Holiday Train will arrive in Guttenberg around 12:45pm and hold an event on the east side of the Schiller Street railroad crossing from 1-1:30pm. All of the concerts are set to feature Canadian artists Alan Doyle and Kelly Prescott as performers.

All the Holiday Train shows are free to attend. Canadian Pacific just asks you bring a food or monetary donation.
