George Strait's selected "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" as his brand-new single. The song will officially go to country radio on Monday (Feb. 11), ahead of the late-March release of the country legend's newest album.

Readers can press play above to hear "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar," which Strait originally debuted during a December show in Las Vegas, Nev. Strait co-wrote the track with his son Bubba and tunesmith Dean Dillon; according to Strait, they wrote the track tired, after the younger Strait tossed out a couldn't-pass-it-up idea near the very end of a writing session.

"Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" features a traditional country melody with drops of barroom piano. "Friday night, it's a given / We'll be l-i-v-n, livin' / We'll dance on the bar 'til we're sleepin' it off in the car," Strait sings in the chorus. "Monday morning, it's a given / I'll be d-r-a-g-n, dragin' / And that's what happens in every little honky-tonk bar."

Strait's new album will be called Honky Tonk Time Machine and is due out on March 29. "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar" is the first of 13 tracks on the project; Strait co-wrote eight of them.

Honky Tonk Time Machine will be Strait's first disc of new material since 2015's Cold Beer Conversation. However, in 2016, he released a greatest hits package, Strait Out of the Box: Part 2.

Since concluding his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour in 2014 -- which was billed as his farewell tour -- non-Vegas shows have been a relatively rare occurrence for Strait; however, in November he announced a 2019 stop in Atlanta, Ga., with a bill that also includes Chris StapletonChris Janson and Ashley McBryde. In addition to more Las Vegas residency dates, Strait has also booked a few additional non-Vegas shows for 2019.
