Moms and dads, there's something quick and easy coming up this weekend that will really help with the kids!

Dubuque County Early Childhood is hosting their "Kids Expo Drive-Thru Resource Fair" this Saturday (10/2) from 10am to 1pm at the Dubuque County Emergency Responder Training Facility in Dubuque (at 14928 Public Safety Way behind the Dubuque County Fairgrounds).

Thanks to their great sponsors it's a free event. Traditionally it's held at the Grand River Center, but due to the pandemic and a "High Community Transmission" rate, the event has been moved and modified to be a drive-thru event.

This will still allow many organizations and nonprofits an opportunity to showcase their services and offer resources and handouts which are free and available while supplies last.

Families will remain in their vehicles at all times to ensure everyone's safety. Volunteers will guide your vehicle through the parking lot directly to the free resources. Children will be greeted by guests who resemble your favorite children's book characters, a balloon artist giving away balloons and families will be offered many FREE resources provided by the community, including the Family Resource Guide, sponsored by Theisen's Home Farm Auto.

There's no cost for the event, however, cash donations are accepted. It's made possible in part by Dubuque County Early Childhood, Theisen's Home Farm Auto, Visiting Nurses Association, DuTrac Community Credit Union, and more!

Dubuque County Early Childhood's mission is that all children in Dubuque County are healthy, safe, and successful.
