Dubuque & Dyersville Hospitals Announce Visitation Restrictions

At the direction of Dr. Honorio Caceres, chairperson of the bi-hospital infection control committee, MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center, MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center and UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital will implement a visitation restriction effective Wednesday, Marcy 20, 2019. This restriction is to limit patient visitation due to Influenza A in our community.

The following groups are asked and expected not to visit hospitalized patients until further notice:

• All children under age 14 (including siblings of babies in the birth center)
• All individuals with respiratory and/or influenza symptoms, such as coughing, fever, aches and nausea

 The restriction is a safety precaution to maintain a healthy hospital environment for patients and visitors and employees at Dubuque area hospitals.
