A country music star is now on deck to play a concert after the much-anticipated Major League baseball game later this week at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa.

In addition to the big baseball game, the fans in the stands will be treated to a Grammy Nominated Country Star Walker Hayes concert. A 103.3 WJOD regular, Hayes is now scheduled to perform a show Thursday evening after the game between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds.

Fans may know Walker Hayes for his decade-long career in the spotlight with hits, including "Fancy Like," which is a bit funk and a bit honkytonk. The #1 song has garnered over 95 million YouTube views and put the Applebees restaurant into people's consciousness.

The song "You Broke Up with Me" hit the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts, breaking the Top Ten and peaking at nine.

Released in 2021, "AA" was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts, peaking at number four.

Tri-State area fans may recall a 2021 Hayes concert at the Q Casino's Back Waters Stage.

Major League Baseball is pulling out all the stops to ensure fans have a memorable experience at the 2nd Annual game. This year's matchup pits the Chicago Cubs against the Cincinnati Reds. The game includes special ceremonies and events to capture the magic of the iconic rural Iowa movie setting.

A baseball fan favorite, it evoked pride throughout the state of Iowa and conjures a sense of nostalgia and healing between a father and son. Field of Dreams stars Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones, Amy Madigan, and Timothy Busfield. Filmed at the Dyersville farm and Dubuque in 1988, Field of Dreams was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1990.

The game will air nationally on FOX at 6 p.m. Central Time.
