Avery Foundation Hits 100th Grant Milestone
The Avery Foundation of Dubuque hit a milestone this week awarding their 100th grant to a cancer patient here in the tri-state area. The 100th grant also marked the 35th grant awarded in 2020.
The Avery Foundation was established in March of 2017 in the memory of James and Julie Avery who both passed from cancer. The Foundation began awarding grants to applicants in December of 2017. Applicants can apply for grants to help with their financial burden during their treatments. The Avery Foundation’s Mission is “With care and concern for patients and families dealing with the stress of a cancer diagnosis, we want to help relieve some of the financial burden created by the cost of treatments.”
The Avery Foundation serves cancer patients in the following counties of the Tri-States; Dubuque, Delaware, Clayton, Jackson, Jo Daviess in Illinois, Grant in Wisconsin and Lafayette in Wisconsin.
