Area States Ranked by Best Drivers
Smartasset.com ranked all 50 U.S. states based on which is home to the best drivers. Massachusetts was determined to be the state with the best drivers, while the worst were found in Mississippi. Iowa and Illinois drivers tied for 14th best, while Wisconsin drivers were rated 28th.
The analysis based its comparison on a number of driving-related statistics, including percentage of drivers with insurance, fatalities per 100-million vehicle miles traveled, and DUI arrests per capita.
