There is no shortage of haunted attractions here in Eastern Iowa!

Using the website Iowa Haunted Houses, I put together a list of all the haunted houses happening in the Eastern Iowa area throughout the month of October. Hopefully there's one fairly close to the city that you live in! If you're looking for a good scare, here are your options in 2021:

Charlotte Haunted House

Eldora Haunted Hospital

Mayhem Haunted House

  • Fridays & Saturdays in October beginning the 15th from 7 p.m. to midnight

Thrashers House of Terror

  • Located at Midwest Old Threshers and McMillan Park in Mt Pleasant (1 hour & 16 minutes from Cedar Rapids)
  • Open Thursdays in October from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays & Saturdays from 6 p.m. to midnight

Scream Acres

  • Bloomsbury Farm in Atkins (21 minutes from Cedar Rapids)
  • Four Attractions

  • Open Halloween
  • Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations

Terror at the Grand Opera House

  • 135 8th Street in Dubuque (1 hour & 19 minutes from Cedar Rapids)
  • Open October 22nd to 24th & 28th to 31st from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
    • 'Light Fright' open from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Tickets are $7 for Light Fright and $12 for Full Fright
