Devin Dawson has announced that he'll head to California for a six-date tour in support of the state's firefighters. Dubbed the California Smoke Tour, after a line in Dawson's song "Dark Horse," the trek will begin at San Luis Obispo's Fremont Theater on April 24; the country up-and-comer will play in Bakersfield, Scaramento, Santa Cruz and San Francisco before concluding at Chico's Senator Theater on May 2. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the California Fire Foundation, which provides "emotional and financial assistance to firefighters, their families and the communities they protect," according to a press release. "The fact that all the proceeds from these shows will also go toward helping people affected by the California wildfires makes it that much more special to me," Dawson adds in a statement. -- AM
