Amazon deliver driver Alexander Evans explained that he didn't see the train until it was too late.  The 33-year-old father of two little girls was driving across railroad tracks near Ixonia, Wisconsin when an Amtrak train struck his delivery van, cutting the vehicle in half.  Ixonia is located between Madison and Milwaukee.

Evans posted photos and a diagram of the train crossing on Facebook, explaining how restricted visibility may have played a role in his decision to cross the tracks.  He said he's beyond thankful as Thanksgiving approaches.
