Wahlert Names New Head Football Coach
Wahlert Catholic High School has hired their next head football coach. it's Jamie Marshall. Coach Marshall most recently finished his third year of coaching at NCAA Division II Lindenwood University in St. Louis, where he served as defensive coordinator. Prior to Lindenwood, Marshall coached at Division I Montana State University from 2007-2015. There, he was the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach.
Marshall helped lead Montana State to four NCAA FCS playoff appearances and three Big Sky Conference championships. He coached five first-team All-Americans and two National Defensive Players of the Year. Under his direction, Montana State was the Big Sky leader in total defense three times.
Prior to coaching at Montana State, Marshall coached at his alma mater, Drake University from 1999-2006, primarily serving as the defensive coordinator. Drake was among the league’s defensive leaders multiple times under Marshall.
As a player at Drake, he was a three-year starter as a defensive back, helping the Bulldogs to two league championships while earning all-conference honors twice.
Marshall was a 1995 graduate of Wahlert Catholic High School, where he played football for the Golden Eagles.
