A total of 2,977 flags were on display, one for each of the victims on 9/11.  Among those killed 20 years ago were over 340 firefighters and first responders. This display was created by the University of Dubuque's Student Government Association, Greek Life, and Army ROTC-Eagle Company.

There was also a remembrance celebration held on Saturday at the Dubuque County Firefighters Association training center in Dubuque on Saturday including the playing of bagpipes, Along with a Heroes for History Stair Challenge Tribute 5K in Galena,

A sincere thanks to all the heroes who didn't think twice about helping out their fellow Americans 20 years ago.  We must never forget what took place on September 11, 2001.  And I pray we never have another tragedy like this again on our soil or anywhere in the world.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
