Impacting youth. Strengthening families. Building community. 3 pillars with which our local Dubuque Dream Center build's upon. The Dubuque Dream Center is a Community Outreach Center committed to mobilizing youth and families to build on Dr. King's Dream of transforming communities by embracing, empowering, and unifying those who live there. They strive to inspire vision and purpose through the 3 pillars above. And right now they need your vote to help continue that mission for our local youths and families. With Finnin Kia's Red, White, and Fuel, the Dubuque Dream Center has the chance to add $1,500 to their funding!

And that funding would be put to good use. Since 2013, the Dream Center has grown from serving 15 students to 190! These students receive round-the-clock in-your-life mentoring and support from the Dream Center. And they are always looking for volunteers to join and help with academics, coaching sports, directing the arts, and loads more. From serving 29,340 meals a year, to investing thousands of hours into each of their students, the Dream Center is positively transforming lives in Dubuque.

Inspired by his faith-based education and passion for youth and families, Executive Director Robert Kimble founded the Dubuque Dream Center, along with John Reeves of South Carolina, and Dubuque native Jay Schiesl, as a ministry of Radius Church. The Radius Church mission is to strengthen families and build community in the downtown area of Dubuque through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I had the pleasure to chat with both Robert and Racquel McClellan, Executive Assistant at the Dream Center about the many outreach programs, their needs, and about community involvement. Please take some time and listen to Robert's story of resilience and hope, and the birth of the Dubuque Dream Center.

By the way, did you know that the dream center will be getting even bigger and you can help!? Future goals now involve the purchase of the recently closed Fulton Elementary School and expansion of their current programs. This great addition to the Dream Center will continue to provide opportunities for local low-income, disadvantaged, and food insecure students and families.

Make your vote today and become part of the dream here in Dubuque; to provide a better life for our local children. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said in his famous speech, "Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today, my friend, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed, “We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created.”" In that belief and statement the Dream Center gives hope to those that need, and the Dream Center needs you Dubuque. Donate here, volunteer here, or make it a career. You can also make your vote for the Dubuque Dream Center today, it's a simple way to start giving back now. With your vote, you could be the next 'Dream Maker'.
