Surprise Drop from Jon Pardi: Rancho Fiesta Sessions

John Pardi "surprise-dropped" an album of covers yesterday.  Calling it a collection of songs by heroes of his, The Rancho Fiesta Sessions includes cover versions of Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, George Strait, Joe Diffie, Tom Petty, Prince and more.

The sessions were recorded at Pardi's Nashville area Ranch with his touring band.  Pardi said; “This one was for the fans, to let them hear something different… songs you may have heard before, but haven’t heard them like this,” he said. “It turned into something special because it’s a year where we are off the road, and we recorded it live in real time, out at my house.”
