Son Returns Home

Looking forward to welcoming my son John home from Fort Benning, Georgia today.  He's been stationed there as a member of the Iowa Army National Guard.  He's coming home today for Christmas break.  I'm sure he's as anxious to see us as we are to see him. And I know his now 4 year old daughter(her birthday was yesterday) is REALLLY going to be glad to see him.  They've haven't told her yet the Daddy's coming home today so it should be quite the reunion.  This is a great time for all of us to remember our men and women in the military.  We tend to complain that we only get a few days to spend with family over the holidays before returning to work...when many of our military personnel don't get ANY time with their family.  I know it's tough for them to be away for home especially during the holidays.  Keep them in your thoughts and your prayers.   Let's hope they all make home safe and sound soon.  Ken
