Rob Zombie Contributes Voice to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2′
Rob Zombie is no stranger to the silver screen. The horror rock legend is an equally lauded film producer, having directed House of 1,000 Corpses, a remake of the classic Halloween, The Devil's Rejects and more, the most recent being the twisted 31. This time, he won't be sitting in the director's chair in his next role, but recording his voice for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel.
The news was confirmed by both Rob Zombie and director James Gunn on their respective Instagram pages (seen below). Standing side by side in a photo, Zombie said, "With James Gunn at Disney recording a voice for Guardians of the Galaxy 2," while Gunn stated, "There are two things you can be sure of in my films: 1) There will be a character named Fitzgibbon. And 2) There will be a Rob Zombie voice cameo. Yesterday Rob came by to lend his voice to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Now it'll be up to you guys to find it."
Appearing in the first Guardians of the Galaxy flick, Zombie voiced the GPS system in the Ravagers' ship. Other notables lending their voice to the film include Vin Diesel who will bring life to Baby Groot and Bradley Cooper once again assuming the role of Rocket. Zombie has also made voice appearances in other Gunn films like Super and Slither.
Anticipation is high for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 after the first film grossed more than $333 million at the box office domestically. The movie will hit theaters on May 5 as the team searches for the true identity of protagonist Peter Quill's (played by Chris Pratt) parents.
