People of the Pack

A new book was released in the tri-states yesterday called "People of the Pack".  People of the Pack: Stories of the Dubuque Packing Company," is a collaborative effort of TH Media and Dupaco and shares the stories of the people who worked on the ground level at one of Dubuque's best-known businesses. The Pack was once one of the top two employers in Dubuque. Dupaco took it's name from the first two letters of the words Dubugue Packing Company.   If you've been in Dubuque for more than 20 years chances are you know somone who worked at the pack.   I have several friends who are former pack employees. I'm not a big reader but I do plan to pick up a copy of the book. Who knows maybe I'll even recognize a few people in the book.  There is a nice article in today's TH talking about the book if you want to know more.
