An Asbury family is without a residence today after their mobile home was completely destroyed by a fire just after Noon on Monday March 1st.  The Dubuque County Sheriff's office says the trailer was completely engulfed when firefighters from the Asbury and Sherrill-Peosta Fire Departments arrived.  The Asbury Police Department and Dubuque County Sheriff's department also responded. No one was home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured. The family dog was trapped inside the residence and did not survive.

The residence at 15462 Lewis Road #17, is considered a total loss, estimated at $50,000.  The trailers on either side of the blaze were saved but sustained some heat damage.  The cost of that damage is unknown at this time.

A new release from the Dubuque County Sherriff's department, says the fire remains under investigation but authorities found nothing to be suspicious about the cause of the fire.
