It's Chucky, the Notorious Killer Doll Day, making life a little more creepy than it was yesterday.

There was a time when I would regularly travel for business and found myself using a friend's guest bedroom. Of course, I was grateful for the hospitality, but this doll named Makila also occupied my bedroom.

It was strange having this odd little lifeless creature sharing my living space. Moreover, it was incredibly creepy waking up and noticing that Makila would move across the room in the middle of the night. But I digress.

Watching too many Child's Play horror films may have caused my aversion to creepy dolls. Or it's common sense that dolls are strange creatures under any circumstances.

Nonetheless, the Child's Play movie franchise has legions of fans who collect Chucky merchandise.

The original film, Child's Play, was released on November 9, 1988. The slasher flick was one of the 1980s horror film standouts. Fans of the genre would spend over $250 million to watch the original film and six sequels. They would also spend millions on DVDs and related merchandise.
