This Thursday, October 1st, Mediacom's MC22 channel will televise the "Iowa Concert of Hope." This live event will feature a star‑studded lineup from Broadway, film, and TV, and will help raise funds to support Derecho disaster recovery efforts.

The concert begins at 7 pm and will be hosted by KCRG News Anchor Beth Malicki. Marion native Ron Livingston, star of "Office Space" and "Band of Brothers" will introduce the event, and performers include Larry Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers, Cedar Rapids native and Metropolitan Opera singer Kelly Cae Hogan, and a variety of Broadway and TV actors. For the full list, go to iowahope.com/performers.html.

In addition to televising the event on MC22, Mediacom will contribute $10,000 to the effort. Funds raised during the event will benefit Midwest Derecho‑response efforts including the Iowa Derecho Resource Center, the Iowa Giving Crew, and the Disaster Recovery Fund of the United Way of East Central Iowa.
