The Christmas Spirit was brought to life at the Dubuque Five Flags Friday evening (Dec.1st).  Martina McBride's The Joy of Christmas came to town.  Martina performed in front of a SOLD OUT audience for just under 2 hours.

The evening kicked off with "Let It Snow", "Silver Bells", "Winter Wonderland"
and "Do You Here What I Hear".  A tribute video honoring local servicemen/woman was shown.  Martina sang "I'll be Home for Christmas" and "White Christmas" in their honor.  There was something for ever age.  For the kids or the kid at heart; the story of the How the Grinch Stole Christmas was shared with a musical twist.
Martina then came out in the audience to ask questions, posed for a few photos and even witnessed a marriage proposal.  She then sang "Please Come Home For Christmas" and "Blue Christmas" with special guest Elvis Presley.
After another quick change (there were 7 outfits total) Martina sang traditional songs like;   "O Come, All Ye Faithful", "Silent Night", "What Child is This",and concluded with "O Holy Night".
But no  Martina concert couldn't end without singing just a few of her hits; "Love's the only House", "This One is for the Girls", "Blessed" and "Anyway" ended the evening.

What a uplifting, spiritual and energetic night of wonderful music by an amazing singer. I think everyone left the concert in the Christmas Spirit; if they were not already.

Thanks to Five Flags for bringing this concert to the area. Let's keep on bringing more shows to the area.
