
Man Shot and Killed in Jo Daviess County on Tuesday
One man is dead after a confrontation In Jo Daviess County, Illinois on Tuesday
On July 14th around 8:42 p.m. Jo Daviess County sheriff's officers responded to a rural Hanover residence for a report of someone being shot. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies learned that Dana Clark of Galena Illinois, was in a confrontation with 37 year old David Van Winkle of Hanover Illinois, for trespassing. A fight took place and and Van Winkle produced a gun and fired one shot striking Clark in the chest. Clark was pronounced dead a short time later
This incident remains under investigation by the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office.
