Loretta Lynn Performs For First Time Since Stroke [Watch]

Loretta Lynn, who suffered a stroke in May, made the decision to cancel her remaining tour dates in 2017, as well as push back the release of her forthcoming album, Wouldn’t It Be Great -- but to her fans' great delight, the icon proved just recently that she is still able to perform.

Last month, Lynn confirmed to WSM Radio’s Nashville Today, that she would appear at the Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival, which takes place at her Tennessee ranch from Sept. 28 through Oct.1. On the closing day of the event, she made good on that promise, delivering her first performance since her hospitalization.

The 85-year-old singer was seated on stage with members of her family, and sang through portions of two of her best-loved hits --"Coal Miner's Daughter" and "You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man).”

Lynn announced the event back in June — just one month after suffering a stroke -- but it was not clear on whether she would perform or not (although she joked "I'm gonna ride in on a motorcycle"). The multi-day fest invited motorcycle enthusiasts to Lynn's home to enjoy live music, food trucks and camping, as well as take rides through her Tennessee ranch's beautiful terrain.
