Wahlert Catholic High School girls’ cross country coach, Cynthia Wagner, has decided to retire from coaching the Golden Eagles cross country team after 44 years.  Wagner has led the team to six state team championships and earned 14 top-3 finishes.  In the past eleven years alone, her teams have won five state championships and two other top-3 finishes, including a 3rd place in the 2019 season.

The hall of fame coach retired as Wahlert Catholic’s assistant principal after the 2018-2019 school year.  She was also a very successful head track coach from 1976-1999 and coached girls’ basketball during her career as well.

The search for Coach Wagner’s successor will begin immediately.
