Kelly Clarkson is not one to be idle. The superstar is currently busy with both her upcoming daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, as well as her post on hit reality program The Voice. However, no matter how crazy her schedule gets, Clarkson knows where her priorities lie. She puts her kids first, before all else.

As the singer tells People, her four children (5-year-old daughter River Rose and 3-year-old son Remington Alexander; plus stepdaughter Savannah and stepson Seth) are the main thing on her checklist. “When we were doing the schedule for the [new talk show], I was like, ‘I have to drop my kids off at school.’ And I’m always the one who puts them to bed,” she asserted to the producers.

As a result? The show waits to tape until after Clarkson's done drop-off and the bell has rung. “You just have to prioritize and juggle and make people know it’s an important thing,” Clarkson notes, adding, “Don’t feel guilty about it.”

Clarkson has made some career concessions that required the kids to be flexible, namely, moving her family from Nashville to Los Angeles. However, she is mindful of her decisions, even second-guessing herself at times.

"Some days I totally hide in a bathroom and I’m crying, going, ‘Oh my God, this is a lot.’ Everybody does. Every parent does, especially when you’re like, ‘Am I screwing up my children? Or nailing it? I have no idea. I’m sure a little of both,'” she tells People.

Clarkson is set to launch her talk show on Sept. 9 on NBC. The Voice's Season 17 premieres Sept. 23, also on NBC.
