Keith Urban is one of Australia's national treasures, so it may come as a surprise that it's been more than a decade since he's hit the stage for the ARIA Awards, the Australian equivalent to the Grammys. Urban's making up for that, however, as it was announced Monday (Sept. 24) that he'll be hosting the ARIAs for the very first time.

Urban will be making his hosting debut on Nov. 28, when the show's 32nd annual installment will be held in Sydney. The five-time ARIA winner last graced the awards stage in 2007, teaming up with John Butler for a memorable performance.

But there's more. Urban has pledged to bring along a special guest to help him with his hosting duties—namely, his wife and fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman.

In a hilarious video in which Urban tries to convince Australian TV and radio presenter Richard Wilkins that he's the best man for the ARIA hosting job, Wilkins makes two demands: Urban must play a "nice big fat guitar solo"—to which Urban eagerly agrees—and he has to bring along "the Missus."

"I'll bring Nic," Urban gamely offers."I'll get her to play a solo."

We're not entirely sure that Kidman will be soloing in any capacity, but you can watch the funny clip in its entirety above.

Urban is currently busy on the North American portion of his Graffiti U Tour with Kelsea Ballerini, which runs through early November. He'll be back playing a string of dates in his homeland Australia starting in January 2019.
