Kaufmann Avenue to Open Today. (Watch) “Detour on Valeria” another WJOD Song Gone Wrong Music Video

The city of Dubuque reports that Kaufmann Ave. between Francis St. and Kleine St. is scheduled to open by noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25. The road has been closed since July due to Bee Branch Project-related storm sewer improvements. A new concrete box culvert was extended from Francis St. up past N. Main St. stopping short of Kleine St. In addition, the project required underground utility work, the installation of three large trench grate intakes across the roadway, and total street and sidewalk reconstruction.

Looking to the future, plans include extending the storm sewer up to Kane St. However, the project schedule is contingent on funding and has not yet been determined.
