Viral TikTok Burns Letter From Cornell College…Not Cornell University
It's always a good idea to pay attention to detail.
As we all follow the Cornell University gang rape case, it's important to remember that it happened at Cornell University in New York state. Not at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
That was the basis of one viral TikTok.

I understand the intent behind the post but look closely at the address on the burning letter: that's the Office of Admissions at Cornell College, not University, that is located in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
And most of the comment section is clocking her on both of those points:

The Cornell (University) 7 case has garnered hundreds of thousands of posts about the investigation. Most recently, in an effort to protect the anonymity of the case's real Jane Doe, multiple women are identifying online as Jane Doe themselves as 'I Am Jane Doe' posts.
Many are agreeing that Cornell College is "catching strays" from the Cornell University case. As one commenter on that video pointed out:

Even Cornell College Had To Clarify It
As Cornell College has been on the receiving end of some of the brunt, they have a webpage dedicated to clearing up the confusion, adding that they were founded well before Cornell University was.

As for the Cornell University gang rape case, more evidence, including Snapchat conversations and phone calls, are coming out. The criminal investigation has been put into the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James.
