Rapper BigXthaPlug Set to Perform at Iowa State Fair

One of the most popular and charismatic rappers is making his fair debut at the Iowa State Fair this summer. At present, the entire fair's lineup is mostly solidified, with only one act still to-be-announced.

Dallas, TX native BigXthaPlug has steadily become one of the most recognizable rappers in the game right now. Beyond his hits like "Texas" and "Mmhmm," he proved he has some viability as a crossover artist, releasing a country rap album last year called I Hope You're Happy. The album featured a barrage of country A-listers, like Luke Combs, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, and Ella Langley.

BigXthaPlug Coming to Des Moines:

BigXthaPlug will be one of many artists to take the Grandstand stage at the Iowa State Fair this year. He's scheduled to perform Saturday, August 22nd. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 3rd, at 10am.

The Iowa State Fair is bringing a litany of acts to the fairgrounds this year, including big names in country music, rock bands, and even industry veterans like Rod Stewart and Richard Marx. There's a little something for everyone as the fair kicks off on Thursday, August 13th and goes through Sunday, August 23rd.

• Thursday, Aug. 13: Hardy with special guest McCoy Moore
• Friday, Aug. 14: Rod Stewart with special guest Richard Marx
• Saturday, Aug. 15: The Red Clay Strays
• Sunday, Aug. 16: Lainey Wilson with special guest Tigirlily Gold
• Monday, Aug. 17: Staind with Hoobastank
• Tuesday, Aug. 18: TLC & Salt-N-Pepa with En Vogue
• Wednesday, Aug. 19: AJR
• Thursday, Aug. 20: Riley Green with special guest Mackenzie Carpenter
• Friday, Aug. 21: TBA
• Saturday, Aug. 22: BigXthaPlug
• Sunday, Aug. 23: Josiah Queen with special guest Ben Fuller

As stated, only Friday, August 21st remains vacant for the time being as the performing artist for that day is to be announced.
