Illinois Extends Stay-At-Home Order: Requires Masks in Some Areas
The Stay-at-Home order in Illinois has been extended through May 30th. It was set to expire on April 30th.
Some "Non-Essential" retails businesses will be allowed to re-open for telephone and on line orders. Also effective today, masks or face coverings will now be required in indoor public places and outside if a person is unable to stay at least six feet away. Also effective today:
- Businesses will have to provide face masks or coverings to all employee that cannot stay six feet from others or customers.
- State Parks will start to re-open and fishing and boating will be allowed but with restrictions,
- Greenhouses, nurseries, and garden/home centers can be open
- Pet groomers can re-open
- Some elective surgeries will be allowed starting May 1st.
