When it comes to supporting local non-profits, there might not be an easier and more impactful program than Kwik Care.

If you're not aware, Kwik Care has helped raise both funds and awareness for local nonprofits. Each month, Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen, and Fazoli's help collect donations for a different organization. Donations can be made easily by requesting your total purchase at any of those businesses (including at the gas pumps at Kwik Stop) be rounded up to the nearest dollar. The additional cents used to round up will be donated to the respective charity of the month.

September's Kwik Care recipient is Hospice of Dubuque, a community-based nonprofit organization with a mission of providing compassionate care for the terminally ill and their loved ones. Hospice of Dubuque has been your hometown hospice center for 38 years. The work they've done has been impossible to quantify.

Tiffany Stietz of Hospice of Dubuque and Heather Hamm of Kwik Stop/Kwik Care stopped by to discuss the organization's work and the unbelievable amount of money Kwik Care has raised since its inception. Stietz talked about Hospice of Dubuque's mission:

We just really provide compassionate care to families at the end of life, and it's something very special and very humbling. We are honored to be able to serve [....] Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

All month long, Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen, and Fazoli's will be taking donations that will go directly to Hospice of Dubuque via the aforementioned Kwik Care canisters at the counter or if customers request their purchase-total be rounded up to the nearest dollar (the difference going to Hospice of Dubuque).

Stietz couldn't be more grateful for the platform that is Kwik Care nor the community support the organization has received:

We love partnering with Kwik Care. One thing that is really neat about it is we see our logo everywhere and everyone sees our logo [....] This community is [one] that gives back, so Kwik Care and Hospice of Dubuque [are both] lucky to have all these patrons around us because we have such good community support. Everywhere we turn, people are always singing praises of everyone and we are very grateful for this community.
