Grant’s 199th Birthday Celebration this Weekend in Galena

In honor of the birthday of President Ulysses S. Grant, The Galena-Jo Daviess County Historical Society will offer free museum admission and family-friendly activities this weekend, April 16-18, 2021.

Saturday Events:

• A Main Street walking tour with "General Grant" will begin at the DeSoto House Hotel, 203 S. Main St. beginning at 10:00 AM and again at noon.
• A Pie and Gift Basket Auction will be held at 11:00 AM at 403 S. Main Street.
• At 2:00 PM "President Abraham Lincoln" will present the “Genesis of the Gettysburg Address” at the DeSoto House Hotel.
