Good Morning America Coming to Dyersville, Iowa on August 11th
The little town of Dyersville, Iowa is getting even more national exposure related to the first ever regular season Major League Baseball game to be played in the state of Iowa. Good Morning America has announced plans to broadcast live between 6am and 9am on Wednesday August 11th, one day prior to the big game.
We've known since last year the Major League Baseball was coming to Dyersville. The game between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees was originally scheduled in 2020, but due to COVID-19 concerns, the game was postponed to this year on Thursday August 12th.
A temporary 8,000 seat stadium has been constructed near the Field of Dreams Movie Site.
Those that were lucky enough to purchase tickets this game (a lottery was held for Iowa residents), had to shell out nearly $400 per ticket. Earlier this week, a single ticket in Left field was listed on StubHub at $12,500.
