Dylan Scott Reveals What Is Most Likely (Almost Definitely) Going to Be His Daughter’s Name
Dylan Scott's baby girl is set to arrive in September, and he and wife Blair are as ready as they can be. Baby girl will be their second child following Beckett, who was born in Dec. 2017.
The "Nothing to Do Town" singer feels comfortable enough with the name they've chosen to finally share it. Talking to Taste of Country Nights, Scott was hesitant for a moment before offering the exclusive.
“I’ll just tell you what I want," he shares. "This is what I want it to be and I think she wants it to be this too so I’ll just go ahead and put it out there: Finley Gray.”
It's official now! Finley Gray Robinson (Scott's real last name) is coming next month!
Scott and Blair revealed in March that they were expecting, and then revealed it's a girl one month later with a sweet Instagram video. Scott admits he was shocked to learn he'd be a girl-dad soon. Actually, he was shocked to learn he'd be a father again so soon!
“My son wasn’t even a year old yet and she comes to me — after telling me she don’t want any more kids — she said, ‘Let’s have another kid,’” he says, smiling. "(I) Figured it would take awhile. Have a kid when Beckett was two ... No, immediately man. Fertile Myrtle over there, so immediately she told me.”
On Aug. 16, Scott celebrated the release of his new EP of Keith Whitley covers called An Old Memory. In the video above he talks about how the late legend helped him land a record deal and tells a story of one of Whitley's final songs, a loving song to his wife Lorrie Morgan called "Tell Lorrie I Love Her."
