Friend of the program, Miki Robinson and the crew at The Bell Tower Theater in Dubuque are presenting a free virtual play, "Pets in Quarantine."

The Bell Tower Theater, your hometown theater will present its first-ever virtua l production, the brand new comedy Pets in Quarantine by Stephen Murray. The performance will be directed by the Bell Tower Theater’s Artistic Associate Sue Flogel.

 It is the spring of 2020. Humans are staying home, practicing social distancing to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The pets of these humans are confused. Their lives have been profoundly changed by the sudden constant presence of their human companions. News reporter Paige Turner interviews eight of these pets to get their stories of confinement.

The cast features Bell Tower veterans Debbie Meyer, Jon Aguilar, Cindy Campton-Iwasaki, Chris Becker, Sue Flogel and Don Brauhn along with Lauren Bergquist, a longtime performer in the Bell Tower’s Free Summer Musical Program and in their first appearances on the Bell Tower “stage” Jeannie Bergquist and Miki Robinson.

The Bell Tower Theater is currently closed so this production will take place on Facebook. The one performance is Saturday, May 16 at 7 pm. Due to copyright restrictions, the video of this performance will not remain online. To view the performance, you must log into Facebook at 7 pm on May 16.
