Dubuque’s Award-Winning Drinking Water

Dubuque has long been known as a place where you can get a great drink of water right out of the tap.  Today on National Hydration Day, we're especially grateful for the wonderful city tap water we get to enjoy.

Dubuque's tap water was recognized as the "world's best" in the municipal category at at the Berkley Springs International Water Tasting competition in 1997, the first year in which the city competed.  While Dubuque hasn't entered the competition every year since, it also recorded top five finishes in 2001 and 2004.
