The City of Dubuque Public Works Department, the Carnegie Stout Public Library, and the Dubuque Metropolitan Solid Waste Agency, served as drop off locations for residents to recycle unwanted holiday lights during the holiday season.  3,188 pounds of lights were recycled rather than landfilled. This is more than double the 1500 pounds that were collected last year.

Unwanted holiday lights and all electronics can be recycled year-round at the Landfill. At this time, appointments are required for electronics brought to the landfill.  To schedule an appointment for dropping off electronics and/or holiday lights at the landfill, visit www.dmaswa/.org.

For more information, call the Landfill at 563-557-8220, extension 2 or go to www.dmaswa.org.
