Lina Qiu is one of the nicest people I know. She and her husband, Gordon Gao have been crushing the tristate restaurant scene with Lina's Thai Bistro for quite some time.

Located at 2055 Holiday Drive, Lina's Thai Bistro features an incredible menu of delicious appetizers, signature stir-fries, noodle and rice dishes, and sushi rolls. I love their beef Pad Thai with an order of their Crispy Lettuce Wraps or Tempura Green Beans. Everything is great!

A few weeks ago I saw a new sign going up so I popped by to ask Lina what she had cooking. She and Gordon were happy to tell me about their new project, called "Lina's Lounge."

The new place won't be located inside their current location but will be in the same plaza, where Signature Health & Fitness used to be.

Gordon said the new spot will take up about 5,000 square feet and feature 40 tap beers, big-screen TVs, and pool tables. They both agreed it will be a great place to watch your favorite team and relax with your friends over a drink. There will even be an outdoor patio if you want to have something to eat or enjoy some fresh air.

But what about food? (This is Lina's, after all!)

Gordon and Lina said they will feature some traditional bar foods, like pizzas and hamburgers, but you'll also be able to order eats from the restaurant and have it delivered to-go over at the lounge.

Lina said there will also be a back room, so if you want to have a party with some family or friends with a little privacy, they'll have that set up, too.

So how soon until we can look forward to checking out the new place? Gordon says if everything goes well, you'll be able to stop by for a drink in early November.

You can keep up with Lina and the new lounge on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
