Dubuque County Residents Can Safely Dispose of Hazardous Materials Saturday May 22nd
Here's your chance to safely dispose of hazardous materials in home, garage, or shop. By safely disposing of these items you help ensure they don't end up in the landfill and possibly in our drinking water.
The City of Dubuque and the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency (DMASWA) are co-sponsoring a household hazardous waste (HHW) collection on Saturday, May 22, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Municipal Services Center, 925 Kerper Court, Dubuque, Iowa. Dubuque County Residents can register for this event at www.DMASWA.org.
This event is open to Dubuque County residents and all the items must be in a box (Limit (2) 18-gallon size boxes per customer). If you have more than the limit, please call 563-557-8220 to set up an appointment at the permanent facility. For a complete listing of acceptable materials, please visit www.DMASWA.org
Residents interested in participating should go to www.DMASWA.org or call 563-557-8220 ext. 1 to make an appointment by Thursday, May 20, 2021. Items will not be accepted from schools, businesses, farms, non-profits, or governmental entities. Containers will not be returned to the resident and any container larger the 5-gallons will not be accepted during this event.
