This Is Why Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s Wedding Plans Are on Hold
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are ready to get married, but want to make sure a few things are in order before they say "I do."
The former No Doubt front woman reportedly "began the formal process" to have her marriage to ex-husband Gavin Rossdale annulled by the Catholic church "so she can marry Blake and have it be recognized by the church," according to Us Weekly. Religion reportedly plays a big part in Stefani's life, and she wants to do things right this time around.
"Gwen's religion has always been extremely important to her, and Blake is completely supportive of this," the insider said.
Stefani and Shelton have reportedly been ready to get married for some time now, but the outlet reported in February that "there are obstacles they have to deal with" before they walk down the aisle. For one, Stefani and Shelton are currently living in different parts of the country. The 42-year-old country singer lives between Oklahoma and Los Angeles. Stefani, on the other hand, lives in Los Angeles full time with her three kids.
Per an Us Weekly source, Stefani and Shelton are "willing to wait" to tie the knot. No engagement has been announced at this time. It's unclear when they would exchange vows.
