At Christmas: Sara Evans at Five Flags Center December 17
Platinum-selling country artist Sara Evans will perform at Five Flags Center as part of her upcoming ‘At Christmas’ Tour. The holiday concert is set for Friday, December 17, exactly one week prior to Christmas Eve. Tickets will go on sale Friday morning at 10:00 AM through the Five Flags Center Box Office and and Ticketmaster.
Sara Evans’ career in country music now spans nearly a quarter-century and has included several massive hits that remain popular on country radio and streaming services. Her first #1 came in 1998 with the title track from her sophomore album, ‘No Place That Far.’ The follow up to that record, 2000’s ‘Born to Fly,’ spawned three Top 5 singles, including the title track, which reached the top of Billboard’s Country Singles and Country Airplay charts. Several more #1s followed throughout the 2000s, including “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” and “A Little Bit Stronger.” All together, Evans has recorded more than 30 charting singles and totaled more than five million album sales.
Evans has also released a pair of collections of holiday music: 2009’s ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ and 2014’s ‘At Christmas.’ The latter reached the Top 20 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart. The ten-track record included both contemporary and traditional Christmas songs, as well as the original title track. Evans’ rendition of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” featured guest vocals from her daughters Audrey and Olivia.
Beyond her music career, Evans has also made extensive television appearances. She was one of the inspirations for the lead character Rayna James on the series ‘Nashville” and consulted with producers about her experiences as a working mother in the music industry. Evans would eventually guest star as herself on an episode of the show. She was the first country singer to compete on ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in 2006. Evans has appeared on three separate episodes of CMT’s music series ‘Crossroads,’ singing alongside the likes of Maroon 5, REO Speedwagon, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, and Joe Walsh. Other appearances have included shows like ‘Family Feud,’ ‘Chrisley Knows Best,’ ‘Nashville Star,’ and ‘Million Dollar Password.’ Last year, she portrayed a singer on the Hallmark Channel original A Nashville Christmas Carol.
