Alabama and Terri Clark took us Back in Time
It was like stepping back into time last night at Taxslayer Arena in Moline, IL. One of country music’s most decorated artists came to town; ALABAMA along with opening act Terri Clark. Last night (Saturday October 13th) wasn’t about the BIG stage, the lights, and glitz & glamour. It was all about the MUSIC!!!
Terri Clark opened the night with an acoustic set. She sang hits: I Wanna Do It All, A Little Gasoline, Better Things to Do, If I Were You, Girls Lie Too and Poor Poor Pitiful Me.
Alabama took to the stage singing If You're Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band). Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook have been performing as a group for over 49 years. (Jeff Cook was missing last night due to illness. Jeff was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease back in 2013) The night continued with with hits: Tennessee River, Dixieland Delight / Can the Circle Be Unbroken, High Cotton, Born Country, Down Home, Feels So Right, Love in the First Degree, Song of the South, The Closer You Get, Dancin', Shaggin' on the Boulevard, Angels Among Us, Roll On and Mountain Music (encore).
What an amazing night of great music. The music today is wonderful. But Saturday night, Alabama took us back to a place where the music; the songs, stood out on its own.
