Luke Bryan Parking/Traffic Info for UNI Dome Feb 20th

UNI-Dome will implement additional security procedures at the upcoming Luke Bryan concert on Saturday, February 20^th, 2016.    These additional security restrictions will include new prohibited items, size restrictions on all bags brought into the building, and hand-held security wanding.

To accommodate the additional time needed for the new security procedures, doors will be opened 90 minutes (6:00pm) prior to the start time (7:30pm) and are encouraged to arrive early to allow extra time for ingress. Please look at your ticket for suggested entrances, Those entrances are closest to your seat for the concert,

Bags no larger than 13” x 15” x 6’’ will be permitted inside UNI-Dome. Guests who have bags larger than this size will be asked to return them to their vehicles or discard them. This is in addition to the existing policy that all bags, purses or personal items of any size are subject to search.

UNI-Dome prohibits certain items into the facility including outside food and beverages, professional cameras, weapons of any kind, chain belts, pocket knives and other hazardous or potentially dangerous items.  This is at the discretion of the venue’s security personnel.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. The venue is unable to store over-sized or prohibited items.

UNI-Dome respects the privacy of its guests and the enhanced security measures will only be used to prevent hazardous and prohibited items from entering the venue. These measures are being implemented in light of the changing world we live in. There are no known specific threats, we are merely following suit with other venues around the country for the overall safety of our guests.  Thank you for your cooperation.

There is a UNI Athletics Men’s Basketball game at 3:00 p.m. in the McLeod Center. So we have put together the suggested routes for entering into the UNI-Dome for parking for the concert via the IOWA DOT:

Westbound US 20:  Take Exit 225 (State Highway27, northbound).  Travel northbound on Hwy 27 to 18^th Street Exit.  Turn left on 18^th Street, traveling westbound until Hudson Road.  Left (southbound) on Hudson Road to UNI Dome.

Eastbound US 20:  Use Exit 220.  Turn left onto Roadway (University Ave).  Continue traveling until you see arrow board to turn left onto Union Road.  Continue northbound on Union Road until West 27^th Street (Another Arrow Board).  Turn right on to West 27^th Street (eastbound) to UNI Dome.

Southbound US 218/IA 27:  Use Exit 189, State Highway 57.  Turn right onto Highway 57 (West 1^st Street).  Continue westbound on Highway 57/West 1^st Street to Hudson Road.  Left on Hudson Road (southbound) to UNI Dome.
